My design and illustration work often expresses a penchant for old-fashioned methods, humble materials, manual design, and physical craft. Sometimes I'm cerebral and concept-based in approach, and other times I just want to create something that looks pleasing.

---> This "Good" luck card is a part of the "Literacy" series. "Literacy" explores the expressiveness of writing; its duality in relaying both a direct message in word as well as an abstract visual message in form. Here, illustrations that seem like fanciful blobs transform into literal messages when rotated. These cards have received awards from The Pasadena Museum of Art 2007 Design Biennial and Print Magazine's 2006 Regional Design Annual.
